Wow, I can't believe how much has been accomplished in the last few weeks!  Thanks to the hard work of Le and Chris, and to the generosity of Templates-Master, we have a beautiful new site that you can check out at www.styleta.org!  Our first batch of clothing is up for sale, so be sure to log in and check them out.

I also included a few shots from our photoshoot.  It's a true testament to the fact that no big event ever goes perfectly as planned!  On the day of the shoot, we found out that the beautifully lighted modern building we were going to shoot in was locked, and had to shift all our people to a different location.  That's why the pictures have much more of a traditional feel.  Can't wait until the weather in Cambridge gets better so we can do some fun photoshoots in Harvard Yard.

Finally, I'm excited to announce our official partnership with Volunteers of America, Indiana.  They are a national service organization serving marginalized groups such as the homeless, the elderly and veterans.  Our next sale's proceeds will be going toward their programs and they have been amazing in supporting us with marketing, writing tax receipts, and nonprofit shipping discounts.  We look forward to a long and productive partnership!

On Tuesday, a group of Harvard team members, Styleta supporters and I delivered the first donation of cash and clothing to Luci Yang, the director of the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter.  Even though it was a small check of $100, it really created some excitement because it signaled just the start of something huge for all of us.  Since last fall, we have been working hard at collecting donations, photographing, marketing, and delivering the sales, but this was the first time we finally saw a tangible impact to our work.  It was a great feeling.

Winter clothing and $100 can do so much for a small shelter like the Harvard Square one, and Luci was extremely appreciative.  I think just being there at the delivery gave all of us such a rush of energy to go out and do more.  In the coming months, we will no doubt be delivering bigger checks to larger nonprofit projects, but this first delivery will be something I remember.
